Answering your NDPA programme questions

How a company links a reporting period to its NDPA programme, assigns each question to a person or department, answers it with its source and scope, attaches evidence, and confirms it for the company.

Updated

NDPA work is where your company answers the questions its NDPA programme asks for one reporting period. Each answer records how it was established, what it covers and who gave it. The company then confirms the exact inputs.

Who can do this

  • An owner or editor sets up the reporting period and assigns questions.
  • Anyone who can edit records answers the questions within their scope. A contributor answers the questions assigned to them.
  • Owners, editors and contributors can confirm answers for the company.

Find it

Open Programmes, choose your NDPA programme, and press Open NDPA work. The programme must be active before work can be assigned.

Set up the reporting period

Press Set up period. Choose Create new period and give the Period label, Start date, End date and As-of date, then press Create and link period. Or choose Link existing period and press Link period.

If several periods are linked, choose one under Selected reporting period.

Read the overview

Response status and Response progress show how many applicable responses are recorded. Responsibilities shows how many questions are with a person or department, and Company confirmation how many are confirmed.

Each question shows Needs response, Response recorded, Confirmed or Review changed inputs. Use Search questions, the Response status and Department filter, or tick Assigned to me to narrow the list.

Assign a question

Open a question and press Assign response. Choose the Department, who to Assign to, and the Due date, then press Save assignment. Assignment grants no access and does not confirm the response. To change it, press Change assignment, or Unassign.

Answer a question

  1. Open the question. Read Official wording & period for exactly what it asks.
  2. Choose your answer. If a register already holds a value, Asiri shows an Available record suggestion.
  3. Under How this was collected, answer How did you establish this answer? (required) and describe the Scope covered.
  4. If the answer came from someone else, name the Respondent (distinct from the person recording).
  5. If the question does not apply, explain Why this does not apply (required).
  6. Press Save answer, or Save and continue to move to the next one.

Press Add or view evidence to attach the files that support it.

Confirm for the company

Open Company confirmation & history on the answer and press Confirm current inputs for the company. If an input changes later, the confirmation goes stale and the question shows Review changed inputs until someone reconfirms it.

Company confirmation is separate from evidence coverage and professional review.

Common questions

"Why can't I edit this answer?" Your access lets you view it, but editing is outside your assigned scope. Ask a programme manager to assign it to you.

"Why has a confirmed answer gone back to review?" Something it relied on changed. Review it and confirm again.
