Choosing your notifications and quiet hours

How to read the notification tray, choose which events reach you, why some events are always on, set the notification sound, and set the workspace's quiet hours.

Updated

Asiri tells you when a clock starts, a task lands or something you follow changes. You choose which events reach you. Some are always on because they carry a statutory deadline.

Who can do this

Everyone in the workspace chooses their own notifications and sound. Only an owner or editor can set the workspace's quiet hours.

The tray

Press the bell at the top of the page to open Notifications. Choose All, Needs you or Updates to filter them. Press a notification to open what it is about. Press Load older notifications to read further back.

Choose your events

Open Settings, then Notifications. Under Events, the events sent in your kind of workspace are listed in families, for example Statutory deadlines or Mentions. Open a family and switch each event on or off. Open When you’ll be notified on an event to read what triggers it.

Use Search events to find one by its name, its family or what it is for. To see events Asiri sends in other kinds of workspace too, press the button to show every event Asiri can send.

Your choices apply to you only. They do not change what your colleagues receive.

Events that are always on

Events marked Always on have no switch. Turning them off would hide a statutory clock or another event the workspace must receive.

The notification sound

Under Notification sound, choose a sound and press Test sound to hear it. The sound is saved in this browser.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours pause non-urgent notifications for the whole workspace, on the workspace's clock.

  1. Under Quiet hours, set Quiet from (hour) and Quiet until (hour), each from 0 to 23.
  2. Read the Quiet hours preview.
  3. Tick Let statutory clocks through if urgent clock notifications should still arrive during quiet hours.
  4. Press Save quiet hours.

If the start and end hours are the same, there is no quiet period.

Common questions

"Can I turn off a breach deadline reminder?" No. Events that carry a statutory clock are always on.

"Do my quiet hours follow my own time zone?" No. They follow the workspace's clock, which the page names.
