A DPO keeps a list of the companies they cannot act for, for example a former employer or a company close to a relative. Asiri uses the list to keep you out of that company's way.
Who can do this
An owner or editor of the DPO practice. Anyone in the practice can read the list.
Add a company
- Open Practice account → Practice profile and go to the How you look tab.
- In the Practice profile section, open Companies you cannot act for.
- Type the company, or a group you are close to, and press Add.
You can also name companies when you apply. They appear in the same list.
What the list does
When the company is on Asiri, Asiri hides you from its searches and blocks any invitation from it, so you do not have to decline awkwardly later.
When the company is not on Asiri, the row says so. It stays on your own record, but it cannot hide you from a search or block an invitation yet.
Remove a company
Press the cross beside the company's name.
Common questions
"Does an empty list mean I am independent?" No. Check every prospective client and the people around it before you accept work.
"Does a firm declare conflicts here too?" No. A DPCO firm's conflicts are found on its own book in the independence register.
