Policy acknowledgements and training

How a company asks its people to acknowledge a published policy or complete training, how each person records their own completion, and how managers attest and follow up.

Updated

A learning campaign asks named people to acknowledge a published policy or complete company training by a due date. Each person records their own completion. A manager can attest a completion done elsewhere. Personal declarations and manager attestations are always kept apart.

Who can do this

An owner or editor creates, edits and cancels campaigns, attests completions and records follow-up. Anyone in the company can record their own completion, and only their own.

Find it

Open People & access in the sidebar, under Programmes, then Policies & learning. If you have been asked to complete something, open My work, then Assignments & reviews, and press Open my learning work.

Before you start

  • For a policy, publish it first under Policies & notices.
  • For training, upload the material to the Evidence library.

Create a campaign

  1. Press Create campaign. The form has steps. Press Continue to move on.
  2. Give the Campaign name and choose the Learning type: Published policy acknowledgement or Company-owned training. Then choose the version people must complete.
  3. Write the Completion criteria: exactly what counts as done. Set the Due date and time.
  4. Under Audience, tick the people who must complete it. People who have not yet joined Asiri show as pending onboarding.
  5. If completion should lapse, give the Expiry date and time (optional).
  6. Give a Reason and press Save campaign.

To change it later, press Edit campaign. To stop it, press Cancel campaign and Confirm cancellation.

Complete your own

On your learning work, press Acknowledge policy or Record my completion. Add a Completion note, and press Record acknowledgement or Record my completion. This is a personal declaration. It does not claim a quiz or assessment.

Attest and follow up

If someone completed the training somewhere else, upload the confirmation to the Evidence library. A manager then presses Attest external completion on their line, chooses the Completion confirmation evidence, adds a Completion note, and presses Record attestation.

To note a chase or a reminder, press Record follow-up, write the Follow-up note, and press Record follow-up.

The statuses

Each person shows one of Completion missing, Overdue, Pending onboarding, Membership revoked, Current material required, Current completion evidence required, Expired, Cancelled or Complete.

Current material required means the policy version or material the campaign points at is no longer current. Edit the campaign to choose the current version.

Common questions

"Can a manager acknowledge a policy for someone?" No. An attestation is recorded as the manager's, never as the person's own acknowledgement.

"Someone has not joined Asiri yet. Can I include them?" Yes. They show as pending onboarding. They need an Asiri account and a current company membership to complete it.
