An expert you engage as an adviser can raise findings, ask for evidence and hand over reports in your programmes. You see each one under From your experts and decide what becomes of it. They advise; you decide.
Who can do this
Anyone in the workspace who can see findings can read the experts' records. Only an owner or editor decides on a finding, answers an evidence request, or accepts or returns a report. The expert cannot decide.
Find it
Open Audit findings. When an engaged expert has raised anything, From your experts appears on the page, beside what your auditor found.
Decide on a finding
Each finding shows its severity, who raised it and when, what they found and What they recommend, and where it stands: Waiting on the company, Accepted, Resolved or Declined.
- Choose Accept, Mark resolved or Decline.
- Say Why.
- Record the decision.
An accepted finding can later be marked resolved, or declined. A resolved or declined finding is settled.
Answer an evidence request
Each request shows what the expert needs and why. Write Your answer and press Send answer. You can add to your answer later. The request then shows Answered.
Accept or return a report
Each report shows its versions. Download the latest version and read it. Then choose Accept, or Return for changes, say Why, and record it. When the expert hands over a revised version, you decide on that one.
Common questions
"Do we have to accept every finding?" No. Choose Decline and say why. The expert sees your reason.
"Can the expert change a finding after we decide?" No. Their records are append-only. They raise a new finding if something changes.
