Clients pay your invoices through Paystack. Your practice needs a payout account before it can send a quotation. You can prepare and save a quotation without one, and the quotation says Configure payout details until it is on file.
Who can do this
An owner or editor of the practice workspace. Anyone else sees whether an account is on file, but not the form.
Open the payout section
Open Practice profile, go to the How you look tab and choose Payout account in the section menu. You can also press Add your payout account in the checklist at the top of the page.
The section is headed Where you are paid. Until an account is on file, it shows Setup required.
Add your account
- Choose your Bank.
- Enter your ten-digit Account number.
- Asiri asks Paystack for the account name and shows it. Check it is your practice account. If Paystack cannot confirm the account, check the bank and number, then press Try again.
- A DPCO firm also enters its Tax identification number (TIN) and chooses VAT on your invoices: Add 7.5% VAT or No VAT.
- Press Save payout account.
When it is saved, the section shows Payout account connected with the account holder's name. Asiri does not store your account number.
A DPO practice does not need a domain to receive payments. For a DPCO firm, domain verification is optional and does not hold up the payout account.
How you are paid
Open Payment breakdown & account reference to see the current terms. Client payments settle to this account. Asiri takes its share at collection, and the rest comes to you straight from Paystack. The section states the current share in words.
Changing your account
Press Change account, enter the new bank and account number, and press Replace this account. Your current account stays connected until the replacement is saved. Press Cancel to keep the account you have.
Common questions
"Why can a client not accept my quotation?" If your practice has no payout account, a client cannot accept a quotation from you that involves payment. Add one and they can.
"Why does it say the name came from Paystack?" The account name is the one Paystack returns for that bank and number. Asiri shows it so you can confirm it before saving.
