Workspace settings

How a workspace owner manages sign-in domains, reviews and decides on support access requests, and reads the processor agreement.

Updated

Workspace settings is where you manage admission, security and workspace administration: the domain your organisation uses, the sign-in rules everyone must follow, the processor agreement, and support access.

Who can do this

Anyone in the workspace can open the page. Only an owner or editor sees Sign-in rules, can claim a domain, and can answer a support access request.

Find it

Open Settings and choose Workspace settings.

Security and access

  • Domain ownership: prove the organisation domain used for admission. Under Claim a domain, give the domain and press Claim domain. Publish the DNS record it gives you, then check it, all on the same page.
  • Sign-in rules: what the workspace requires of everyone who opens it.
  • Ownership history: the recorded changes of ownership.

Sign-in rules

A second step for everyone shows Off or Required. When it is required, an emailed code on its own is no longer enough to open the workspace.

  1. Under Which kinds count, choose Two steps, or Passkey or hardware key only.
  2. Under When it starts, choose Immediately, In 7 days or In 30 days.
  3. Before you apply it, the page names anyone the rule would lock out.
  4. Press Apply these rules.

To stop requiring it, press Turn off. These rules govern members of this workspace, not data subjects.

Agreements and support

  • Processor agreement: read your data processing agreement with Asiri.
  • Support access: review requests from support to come in.

Support access

When somebody at Asiri asks to come in, the page says Somebody at Asiri is asking to come in. Each request shows who asked, when, for how many hours, when it lapses, and their reason. Nothing is readable to them until you agree.

Add a note if you like, then press Let them in or No. If you let them in, they can read the workspace until the window you agreed to ends, and every action they take is in your own audit trail.

Common questions

"Can support see our workspace without asking?" No. Nothing is readable to them until an owner or editor agrees.

"Will a sign-in rule lock anyone out?" It can. The page names who before you apply it, and you can choose when it starts.
