Your day is your practice's home: your client work, priorities and availability in one place. Clients is your book of business. Only work within the scope each client grants you is shown.
Who can do this
Anyone at the practice can read Your day and Clients. Only an owner or editor of the practice can invite a client, resend or cancel an invitation.
Your day
Open Your day in the sidebar.
- Practice at a glance counts your active client engagements, what needs attention, and upcoming client reports.
- Work to prioritise lists requests, incidents and tasks within your scope, grouped as Late, Needs you and Worth a look. Open a row to go to it. When nothing is waiting, it says Nothing needs you today.
- Weekly capacity shows your Committed time across your retainers against the time you have available.
- Your clients lists your authorised clients. Each shows its last report and when the next is due.
- What this role cannot do, at any client states the limits of the role, such as reading records outside the scope the client grants.
Your clients
Open Clients in the sidebar. At a DPO practice the page lists your clients, with Invite a client and your client invitations. At a DPCO firm, the counts at the top are Clients, Engagements and Engagements awaiting authority.
The table lists each engagement with its client, authority, audit stage, tests performed, lead and filing deadline. Search by client, or filter by All engagements, Authorised or Awaiting authority. Tick rows and press Export selected CSV to download them.
Press Engagement history to see every engagement, including earlier ones.
Invite a client
A client arrives in your book in one of two ways: you invite the client to choose their company and approve the relationship, or a client accepts a quote.
- Press Invite a client, or Add a client on a firm's Clients page. The form has steps. Press Continue to move on.
- Client organisation: give the Client organisation, the Contact name, their Job title or authority and Their email address.
- Purpose: choose what you will do, for example Audit their records or Act as their data protection officer.
- Press Invite client.
Client invitations
Under Client invitations on Clients, each invitation shows who it went to, its purpose and where it stands. An invitation still waiting shows Awaiting recipient’s company choice. Press Resend invitation if it did not arrive. The previous link then stops working. Press Cancel invitation to withdraw it.
Common questions
"Why can I not see some of a client's work?" You see only the work within the scope the client granted.
"Does a quote make someone a client?" No. A client appears once they approve your invitation or accept a quote.
